Short Threads from the Needle’s Eye…October 2018

I wish you all could have been at SANGri-la, our annual retreat, last month in Kerrville. We all had a wonderful time and with the rain much stitching was accomplished by everyone. Thanks from all of us for everyone‟s contributions from the committees wonderful planning and goodie bags to the snacks and prizes from all the attendees. It is planned to be the same week next year but “watch this space!”
REMINDER! On the second Wednesday in October, The Yarn Barn will be involved in the annual Yarn Crawl, so we will be meeting at Northwood Church that day at the usual times.
Joan will be gathering Patriotic Needlework this month for the exhibit at the Forest Hills Library to be set up on November 1. Please bring your pieces to meetings and stitch ins by the Chapter meetings, October 23.
Harriet Nelson passed away in September. She was a member for many years and her love of stitching both with SANG and several ANG Chapters was remarked on by her family. She was special to me as we lived close to each other when I lived here in the 1990s and we used to bring the before meeting goodies on Halloween and St. Patrick‟s Day.
I will see you all when I return from the National Seminar at all the meetings, stitch ins, and I hope, at the upcoming Seminar work day at St. Marks on Vance Jackson, October 13.
Happy Stitching!
