Short Threads from the Needle’s Eye…

A month is gone already! How time flies when you are trying to find time to stitch! AND we already have a new Guild project to work on-Thank you Joyce for starting us off with a bang and teaching us the right way to cross stitch over one linen thread! The Thread Tag will be a great addition to our tools.

The New Board met with The Outgoing Board and both were teeming with ideas for the coming year. I hope you will all be as happy with our future as I am.

February is, once again, the month for Stitch in Public Day and we will be teaching children at the Forest Hills Library on the afternoon of February 7. This in addition to all the places we show our talents around the area every month.

We always welcome visitors and new members to our meetings and events; I hope that the New Year will see all of us bringing friends and neighbors to share in our wonderful passion!! (There may even be a bonus to members who do so-hint, hint!)

In the January EGA newsletter they asked that we all consider donating items for the live and silent auctions and other fundraisers at the Seminar in Ashville, NC in August. (Still time to register as well). There is also a new on-line class, GCC and ICC and time to enter an original work in the National Exhibit, Through the Needle’s Eye

Read on for more information about upcoming classes, Outreach projects (Yes, Love Quilts!), stitch-ins and a possible SANG-SCR Seminar.

Bon Voyage to those attending the ASG Winter Retreat! Please bring back all the news and new ideas. Hi to all our Stitching Brothers and Sisters!

Happy Stitching to us all,

Pat Sweet
