hort Threads from the Needle’s Eye…
SANG’S name gets around. Stitches from the Heart gave Jill Stoeber my name. Jill has quite a few handpainted needlepoint and De Grazia handpainted canvases. I went to see them and they are beautiful. Some could almost be framed as they are. They don’t make hand painted Aida so that lets me out. (I stitch mostly on Aida but I have advanced to some canvas and linen.) I could appreciate the talent in these canvases and they would be beautiful stitched. More info in this newsletter.
Saturday, February 1 is EGA Stitch In Public Day. I have listed the dates in this newsletter and I will send EGA pictures and info on our stitch ins.
Forest Hills Library is a nice facility with good light. If you have not seen our exhibit there yet, Joyce did a great job of putting it up. They want us to continue a February exhibit with hearts and red and pink pieces
Can you believe it? We’ll be celebrating 40 years of SANG at our May luncheon. Big plans are in the works, so you won’t want to miss it. Details in our next newsletter (I’m such a tease!)
Tawney is planning on having a technique class on Tanya Berlin’s lace bell pull.
I hope to see you at a stitch in or meeting soon. I am still working on Amadeus and enjoying it. It is new stitches for me like the dart stitch and Amadeus stitch.
