President’s Message Short Threads from the Needle’s Eye…

We have our May luncheon on May 11 at Ft. Sam Golf Course. Trisch Moy from Habitat for Humanity is our speaker. We will be stitching at 9:00 am, the program at 10:30 am and lunch at 11:30 am. I hope all of you have made your reservations.

Our July/August Workshop is Peg Dunayer’s Garden of Stars. It is a beautiful geometric piece in blue on white or cream/gold on black. The dates are Saturday, July 27 and Saturday, August 24. There is a coupon in this newsletter.

We start our Support SANG with the Point System. We will all get one ticket for attending the May luncheon then points for attending meetings; stitch ins; teaching a class. The list will be in this newsletter again.

We are having a ‘Create a New SANG Name Tag’ Contest. Anyone wanting to enter can submit a design to me by November 1 and we will announce the winner at the Christmas luncheon. It can be no larger than 4″ X 5″. It needs to be stitched. We can think about a beaded one later.

We are busy working on the Seminar 2020 Create a Vision June 9-14, 2020 in San Marcos at the Embassy Suites on IH 35. Come to a Seminar workshop and we will be having pilot classes for the mini classes.

We have a new 3rd VP Outreach – Linda Bjorn is taking over for Carol Powers who recently resigned. Linda is a stitcher and beader. We are doing Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio samplers and our summer stitch ins will include outreach stitching.

I read this in my Jan Karon book Patches of Godlight. It made me laugh. I hope you smile also.

Hope to see you at a stitch in soon.
