Can you believe it is summer time? The year seems like it is just flying by. With lots of things to do before year is over, I am going to try to do a rotation for my projects and see if I can make some progress on some of the many works in progress that I have. I have a special project that I need to get done by October and I want to make sure that it does.
The guild will be donating a basket to be used as a door prize for the national seminar in October. If you would like to make a donation or a contribution to the basket please let me know. Details have not been finalized yet but I think we have some of the most talented ladies around that I feel our gift will be a standout among the rest.
Did you see the article that Karin Shaw wrote for the April newsletter asking for original designs from the membership to put in a calendar? I think this is an excellent idea in that it allows the members of the guild to display some of their fantastic work. It would be a great fund raiser that requires minimal work on our part because all the pieces have been finished. If you are interested in participating let Karin know.
I look forward to seeing those of you signed up for the Mariposa class on June 13. It will be from 9:00am – 3:00pm, The Forum, 111 W. Nottingham. The deadline to join has passed for this event.
Just a reminder EGA Seminar 2015 which will be held at the Marriott River Center in San Antonio, Texas on October 28 – November 1, 2015. For those of you who were not able to take advantage of Early Registration last fall, Open Registration has begun. Class descriptions, photos, and the registration form can be found on the EGA website, www.egausa.org.
As always happy stitching,
